D’ Phis attended the Block Party, a 90s themed event hosted by OB (Orientation Board). There was dancing, corn hole, hillbilly golf, and food! We all walked together to the IM room from our hall wearing our trads. It was a great time to talk and connect with other Greek groups as well as spend some time with some of our independent friends.
The D’ Phis hosted a Mocktail Party on South Patio (MAP). Potential socials were invited to partake in mocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails, and eat classy cookies with the D’ Phi girls. Allison Chandler (senior D’ Phi) bar-tended, and Caitlin Dodds (Junior D’ Phi rush chair) organized the socials rush event. It was a beautiful night of relaxing and chatting with the girls around the fountains with drinks and cookies, and we had a turn out of six girls, which is great!
The D’ Phis went on a camping trip together to the Jamestown Campgrounds. It was supposed to be a 2 day trip spanning from Sunday, September 4th-Monday, September 5th (Labor Day Weekend). As it started to rain, as a group, the D’ Phis decided to drive back to campus rather than to stay in the rain. During this trip, we canoed together, made a bonfire, ate chips, hot dogs, pb&j sandwiches, and s’mores, and some of the girls went fishing. Allison Chandler’s (Senior D’ Phi) uncle, Bill, brought fishing equipment and oil to help our fire. Also, we ended up connecting with a GCC alumni, Camp Ranger Dan Hudson, whose wife was a D’ Phi. (D’ Phis are everywhere!) The night ended with some great storytelling around the fire and a fun drive back to campus!
The Organizational Fair is the beginning of the sorority presence on Grove City College. Today is the first day that all sorority girls are allowed to display their letters publicly on campus.
The D’ Phis set up and decorate a table in the IM Room with all our D’ Phi items. The purpose of this event is to talk to women about what the D’ Phis are about and to try to convince people to sign up for rush and look into Greek life.

Many alumn showed up with their spouses and reconnected with the 2010 actives. The sisters of Sigma Delta Phi had a great time sharing old stories and new stories as well as taking new family photos!
