About the D’Phis

Sigma Delta Phi is about people. It’s about the sisters, old and new, connected through a fabric of tradition that binds us to our very beginning. It’s about the women who work together to support each other and create meaningful relationships that add value to our lives. It’s about sharing the things that are important to us, and, in turn, sharing the resulting sisterhood with others. It’s about adding value to our community through example of what a group of bright young women can become when they live and love together. It’s about being proud of what we believe in as sisters. Sigma Delta Phi has been part of the Grove City College landscape since 1920, and has been enriching lives of Grove City’s women ever since.

Sigma Delta Phi is about commitment. It’s about relationships that cannot be broken over time or space, which require dedication and trust. It is about pledging ourselves to one another and to the ideals of the sorority. The members of the Sigma Delta Phi sorority pledge themselves both to one another but also to the traditions of the College and to its community at large to create a glowing future for everyone they touch.

D’Phi girls have enjoyed rich friendships since its very beginning and have found these friendships to become deeper through the common bonds of sisterhood. Our members are sisters in a lifelong tradition whose keystone is friendship: warm, simple and sincere. When you join Sigma Delta Phi, you find yourself in a loving community of women who will become your best friends, your roommates and, someday, your bridesmaids!
